We have an Alaskan mill and it works good for us. We use it to cut down logs that are too large of diameter to fit on our bandsaw mill. I have a few videos here.Has anyone actually bought and tried the chainsaw mill kits? Are they a joke or can you actually make decent lumber out of them?

Use a 10* ripping chain for cutting with the grain, that will last longer.I see a lot of them being used on YouTube and guys building their own. It looks like a very slow process to me. I’m sure it would take a lot of chain sharpening too.
